Had a wee visit to Katie Scott's yard today and then went to Musselburgh . Got talking to a guy there who introduced himself as Sandy. He was a bit of a larger than life character and told some cracking stories. After a bit he said you have probably heard of at least one of the horses I owned called Brindisi Breeze. I was a bit taken aback, considering the history of the horse. Such a sad story for everyone involved and the tragic events that later took place with the jockey . Racing wasn't great but it turned out a really interesting day and got me thinking, could we make a top 10 of Scottish trained horses ???

Sandy Seymour,does he still have his hair long Dealer? He's good pals with a good friend of mine,they've both got a place in Florida and I met him at my pals daughter's wedding. He's had plenty of health issues of his own,certainly a character.
What a sad tale what with the horse then the jockey a month later.

Yes he has ribero, he spoke a lot about florida and that he had suffered a heart attack there. He was on really good form.
He also spoke a lot about greyhounds, how he used to breed them and his exploits with them in Ireland.

Are we allowed to include Scottish trainers in England? Mark Johnson springs to mind. I would also mention Freetown and other good horses trained by Lennie Lungo.
H.Cecil would have the top 10 if we did,but it is not down to me who counts.Swinging Junior and HO Leng ?
Cheers dealer,funnily enough I noticed he'd a horse run 2nd at Kelso on Friday Balcomie Breeze trained by Gillian Boanas,I might have got this wrong but think he mentioned he was trying breeding a few,maybe this is one of them? My pal always mentions when he's spoke to him because of my interest in horse racing,there's a gang of them in Florida who all live near each other and do plenty of socialising together!
Peaty Sandy was one of my favourite horses at the time ,I am ashamed to have forgotten him.

You were right, he has bred a few, he spoke highly of a 3 year old he has in france, he thought it could be decent, hasn't run and he didn't mention a name.
