Ascot Chase.

One of my favourite Ascot races along with the Clarence House. I hired a box there in 2017 and stuck a fortune on Cue Card to cover the costs. Hosed up by half the track.

This renewal is certainly interesting. Shishkin going up in trip after two unenthusiastic races looks like one to avoid. Fakir D'oudairies is a very good benchmark @ 9/4. But lie you I have gone for Pic D'Orhy who has been improving nicely but needs to improve a bit more, looking for 7/2.

The performances of the Hendo and Nicholls horses in the first will swing the market although it changes nothing about the relative merits of the Chase runners later.

I have followed Fakir since his juvenile days and love the horse but I cant get it out my head how bad a race last years renewal was. Can't have Shishkin.

Probably going to back Pic D'Orhy as even his betfair win over hurdles is better than Fakir did over hurdles, so the prices will decide my choice.

Shishkin has never looked like a horse that needed further than 2m

Way he was finishing, if it's good ground at Chelt would love to see him have a crack at Gold Cup rather than the Ryanair.

Lovely job, can't help but be impressed with that run and great to watch.

Just on the bend I thought that Pic was going best but once he jumped the second last, Shishkin was well on top. You wonder if Shishkin wants 3 miles.

Good to see him back after two poor races. Might frighten a few off in the Ryanair as distance back 2nd/3rd give the form some substance.

Lets see how Shishkin is in 2 weeks time though. If he keeps sound and well he must have a huge chance in a King George.

Changed your opinion from your posts after the tingle creek Bentring when you were stating Shiskin was finished. Like I said the forum is about opinion not slagging people off for having one different to your own

they would have to consider the gold cup if GDC and maybe a few others didnt turn up
