Leopardstown Conditions Anyone?

I'm only around 6 mile from the course and we've had no rain all week , Leopardstown usually drys out quickly so I'd say they have watered and I'd expect good to yielding..Hope that helps , I'm meeting several formites today from the U.K.

Hope you are right workrider, but I have backed two good ground horses who are drifting. Big trainers kicked up a fuss about the ground so I suspect plenty of water has been applied.

I look at a few graded races workrider when I hope they might be trying. I put this thing in at 5/2 myself bound to be wrong as not really doing much jumps

The ground for day one of the Dublin Racing Festival is yielding on the chase and hurdles track, with a dry day forecast for a star-studded card at Leopardstown.
A further 12mm of watering was put on the chase track on Friday while the same amount will be added after racing for Sunday's card. The hurdles track is yielding to soft in places.
Lorcan Wyer, clerk of the course at Leopardstown, said: "It's yielding on both tracks.  The first couple of weeks after Christmas we had 30-odd mililitres of rain, then the last two weeks have been on the drier side so we've applied 50mm – as a ballpark [figure] – of water on the chase track in the last week or so.
"We'll have fresh ground for the hurdles track tomorrow and the forecast is generally dry but we may get a hint of a shower. It's a little cooler overnight into tomorrow but still generally dry. We're in good shape and all ready to go."

It is probably a case of getting some idea from the first race. Unfortunately, I have backed Absolute Notions who has drifted 12/1-25/1. Not too keen on cashing out for a loss so no option but to let it run. Just noticed American Mike has been pulled. What price would he have been for this at the start of the season. In danger of his season ending up as a very damp squib.

Bits of hazy rain during the morning but nothing more than that. As I said yesterday it should be the quickest ground these horses have raced on this season (unless it's been over watered).
