An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after leaving the stalls when CAPPANANTY CON, placed third, ridden by William Carson, interfered with LUXY LOU (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Finley Marsh. Carson was cautioned for careless riding as he had allowed CAPPANANTY CON to drift left-handed when insufficiently clear of LUXY LOU (IRE), causing Marsh to take a slight check.
