You would think the owner would just send it back to the original trainer or someone else. Jonjo cant train a dog to sit.

40 plus Years of watching Racing and never seen a Horse lose his form as fast as Easyland.

The 250K paid out by David Maxwell for Mombasa who flopped again in the opener today not looking too clever.

Not a hint of the ability he showed ....

I mean why J.P does not send him back to his former Trainer is a complete mystery....The Horse seems to resent his new surroundings.

SEnd it to Ben Haslam, he seems to get a lot of JPs.

I remember when JP bought it after it had won 2 ,i think ,cross countrys ,impressively ,looked a good bit of business at the time ,but the horse has been absolute rubbish ever since ,strange .Similarly ,another JP horse that may have totally lost its way ,ran yesterday ,Minella Times ,not run a half decent race in the 2 years since it won the Aintree Grand National !

By:
Easysland is owned by JP and trained by Jonjo. Every time Easysland runs like a drain, punters (and Racing Post pundits) look at it and instead of writing the horse off, say to themselves that JP and Jonjo must be running it down the field to set up a coup.
Bookmakers are the same, so it opens up too short then drifts. |

Worth noting that his previous trainer was was one of the French trainers arrested last year in a doping scandal

His previous trainer up before the beak again:
Trainer David Cottin facing 12 month ban over case of four horses injected with steroid Dexamethasone ... Cottin enjoyed festival success when Easysland won the Glenfarclas Cross Country Chase in 2020, beating Tiger Roll by 17 lengths. He was fined €3,000 after Scare Coeur tested positive for a banned substance at Pau on January, 8 2022. https://www.racingpost.com/news/international/france/trainer-david-cottin-facing-12-month-ban-over-case-of-four-horses-injected-with-steroid-dexamethasone-aEknl2T6ticH/ |

Quixall Crossett I dont think anyone expected much from the old boy tbf ![]() |

Easysland probably got really bored with the cross country course at Cheltenham. Needed a few 'coffins', water splashes and disappearing up the hills into the woods to keep him interested.

Stinks to high heaven when you think about it.
