Had the advantage of a very generous 15lb weight for age allowance last time, plus a 3lb claiming rider. Same horses meet on the same day over 2M on the flat, and the allowance is 6lbs - do eight flights of hurdles really justify an extra 9lbs off for the 3-y-old?

All horses pull with hard handed Jamie, that one was bound to be worse with him than claimer last time. Only thing he is good on is slow ones that need pushing eg when he rides Kerry Lee's slow boats.

big difference between raced keenly and throwing its head about sonko.
I agree warwick, but the ride was crazy from the start. Ok the horse maybe mental but it did not stand a chance from the off.

His enemey is his head not the opponents, he just as likely to win the Triumph as Fred Winter (which is near to zero on today's race).

Hard to believe people think a challow winner is rated too high at 142 when he has clearly improved for fences.
Had a nice bet on Edwardstone 6.0 ir, 1.01 £5k done and never layed off

Was it? I am not a great judge of rides. Thought he gave it a belter, and I celebrated as he went past. Just looked like the horse which was done found a second wind when he saw Edward and found more.
