So rather than just let her horse hang in behind rivals and finish out the back she chose to hit the front just to make the whole race a bit more exciting? Jeez.

Stopped riding... nothing said cos a bird...Stewards will say...Noted... come racing ..sooner the sytem crashes the better...as smelly as ya ll see and if not as inept as ya ll see to warrant a 12 month ban... need the Australian System to weed ot out imv ..

She's hard ridden it from over 2f out, hit the front over a furlong out, and the horse doesn't quite see it out. One for the "jockey coaches" to show to their pupils in order to demonstrate 'premature jockulation'.

If Spencer was on that, he'd probably just let the horse gradually make the ground up from 2f out, lead well inside the final furlong and win on the snaff.

Following the race, Josephine Gordon reported that CONFEDERATION, placed second, hung badly right-handed under pressure.

Trident, I'm saying I suspect she ran the penultimate furlong significantly quicker than she did the last one.

Yes head on suggests that. Horse is a monkey, ducks right/left at starts etc

If you were trying to back a winner on the jolly, why would you ride like a demon to get clearly ahead of it right before the finish - that's what she did?
By:

Stopped riding to my eye ... many ways to get beasts beaten Stu as ya ll know if listened to Dwyer s phone calls etc .. i think the slowly away one most popular ... getting one over racing another ... many many scenerios..not saying this happened here but on my 1st 2 viewings i thought dropped hands for a few strides and stopped riding ... generally if ya know how to ride like this lady does ya d ride like a demon in the final furlong not the 2 out but then could do a complete Callan and ride a finish 3 furlongs out but sure many ways but looks especially poor when one punted off the boards left to pick up the pieces but im sure the stewards will NOTE it lol

Needs a complete overhaul top to bottom and base it on the Ozzie model with Stewards punishing harshly offenders and ppor riding offences ..over ise of whip etc in an evenly fashion ....then ya d see the sport as popular as there imv

When: 25 Jan 23 20:02
Seemed she made a hefty effort to get it in front close home - was a very odd ride given her last second 'efforts' for sure.
By:

When: 25 Jan 23 20:07
Yeah agree Stu... exactly ... could be she ran outa puff but odd ya d build up all that momentum and granted hung and tricky if thats the case etc but then give up...very odd for sure ..m
