Nonsense, you could see he didn't want to get to the front too soon as horse was green then found himself there and caught by faster finisher. Next time after the experience 2nd will lap the winner.

So you're saying he wouldn't have won? Davy's rides have been questionable since he's returned, even the one he won on yesterday. Never seen him so far back in the saddle either as he was there. The horse has clearly picked up again for pressure. But Davy thought he'd won after the last.

I think the going's doing their heads in - race ran far too slowly but Davy should be aware of that - should have let his horse get on with it much earlier - cost me (and many others a fortune) - definitely poor (ish) ride - but SO many nowadays - where's the surprise

I did a 50 quid straight placepot and he was my last leg so finishing first or second was immaterial to me. But if that was Townend for Mullins it's guaranteed he would have made the running. Still should have won though, and the second fav making the mistake at the last probably cost him as Davy would've had to ride it hard from the last otherwise.
