Never quite reached the heights and now looks a shadow of his best.
Weak in the market, with no chance of an easy lead, he ballooned fence after fence. When he eventually got into contention that effort was very short lived, and he either waved a white flag, or didn't stay.

acey, I would have made the same comment irrespective of whether I had napped it, or not.
It was a rubbish selection, but there were only three options as I could see. When you haven't got a clue about all weather you are pretty much forced to have a go. I was very unlucky with Spirit Of Legend yesterday, and without looking I am sure some people got lucky with Fakir D'oudairies today. That's the way it goes.

They can forget about 2 mile 4F for this horse and just stick to the minimum trip at which today it was going as well as any.
