newcastle stewards need to be sacked, just not fit to perform that role.

At the start, the fav Modular Magic, got a blindfold thrown in his face, and the horse consequently ducked and lost lengths at the start.  I think it was G Lee who did it.

Youve got Mulrennans the stewards pal v an apprentice, completly shameless if thrown out.

who's backing Motawaazy ??  first 2 thrown out

ok the winner has edged 6ft left over 2f..never touched..cost the 2nd no momentum..

but..its only won 3".

This is disgraceful! Total corruption. These Stewards need investigating. The winner was always holding the 2nd and never stopped him at any time!

There is all the above and then obvious give away....

If you suspect the 2nd may get it...are you happy to take 4/1 in that scenario??? (Unless you know)

Didn't see the head on, or the stewards room, myself.
But reading the comments.
I didn't hedge off ( every time I do that I lose value, when the winner doesn't get thrown out)
Sod's law, This time. figured Dusty Prince would keep it.

That bloody race would have got me back on point today.

the sooner centralised stewards and established the better. I have no idea why they are dragging their feet on this one , it will have to happen eventually.

Gross incompetence by stewards. It does appear the stewards at Newcastle are on a different page from everyone else in racing.

as ive alluded to many many times..it matters not a jot how it looks..when the winning distance is a nose its caveat emptor.

does seem strange that they refused to take any action against mulrennan for the outrageously obvious ride last time, then hand him a race that the vast majority of racing people would say he shouldn't have been awarded ..

An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference in the final 1 ½ furlongs when the winner DUSKY PRINCE (IRE), ridden by Taylor Fisher, interfered with PAPA DON’T PREACH (IRE), placed second, ridden by Paul Mulrennan. The Stewards considered that the interference had improved the placing of DUSKY PRINCE (IRE) as the gelding had moved PAPA DON’T PREACH (IRE) off it’s intended line for a considerable distance before the gelding rallied to be beaten a diminishing short-head at the line.

he downed tools on the fptp 50 yards from the line as he knew he had the race sewn up.  runner-up was a head down a furlong out, was still a head down 50 yards out, would still have been a head down if they'd gone another furlong.  wasn't winning that race.

if ewe hadnt scene race and i told ewe a hoss had been intimidated 3-4yds left and got beat 3" you'd mebbe say a chance it would go...and i conker..

but would 2nd have in all probability have won? imposs to say yes.
