Is Enough Being Done To Save Winter Jump Fixtures?

We have to assume the answer is yes, but is there anyone with the expertise actually going round continually monitoring these tracks to see if anything can be improved? Or are tracks just left to their own devices?

The weather is becoming more extreme, seemingly hotter and wetter. It's not beyond possibilty that we could soon end up with a whole month being taken away.

Yes, there is all-weather, but for many that will have no appeal whatsoever, and they will swerve the sport for the duration of abandonments. To them there may as well not be any racing at all. So a pretty big chunk of audience is being lost.

You could see for yourself when Worcester was under the several feet of water it just wasn't salvageable, but is that what is happening at all these other courses that are cancelling? Is there anything that can be done to improve drainage, or is that just considered too expensive to even try? As for overnight temperatures they don't seem to have dropped ridiculously low, and daytime temperatures have been several degrees above freezing so what is going on there? 

Unfortunately, at the moment there is almost an expectation that when an inspection is called the meeting is going to be called off.   

Given the amount of money in racing you would think spending money on getting fixtures on should be an absolute priority.
