The mare quickened when challenged, and Ashtown Lad couldn't go with her.

The kid was taking another 7lbs off her back as well.

Isn't it amazing that a loss gets a mention but 2 very good wins do not? That is the Forum in a nutshell.

I am afraid that is just too sweeping a statement to be correct. I was positive about the winner of this race, and the novice winner on another thread.

If you want wall to wall cheerleading then by all means lap up the tv and general media coverage because you will hardly ever come across any criticism. It doesn't mirror reality, mistakes are made all the time.

So if they don't do it then you are bound to get a greater degree of criticism on a forum. It's inevitable. It would actually be amazing if it wasn't like that.

Imagine being one of the two ITV6 winners ...both on Ashdown Lad for the 7 as it cruised into the straight...........

Good point drum - it is all about reality.  Not the sycophancy of Chamberlin and his fawning ilk.

I know that feeling six.  Everyone in the street heard me shouting home Whats Up Boys in the national until Bindaree did the unthinkable, and never done before in my lifetime, and came again!  Very nice return indeed blown away in a furlong!
