She's anything but a great jockey. Brings the horse nicely into the race with three to jump then unaccountably tries to send her tired horse up a rails gap that was only a 50/50 at best and which was always going to be closed by the one just in front of her. She is then forced to snatch it up, pull out to where she should have gone anyway, and runs on into second.
It;s got to be a huge disappointment to connections because the horse could well have won otherwise.

Bushypark has a record last season of going PPPthen win at 50/1 and was expected to do so again last week but was just touched off at that price again i think this was the consolation prize. This time backed into favouritism .
I agree Eclaire ran on well but Bushy would have taken some passing. Only my opinion of course .

Wadham stable is woefully out of form. Nothing to do with the jockey, who is excellent.

As for Robbie, I'm glad he's back and getting me a nice winner at Taunton earlier this week.

What Bryony needs is another flagship horse, as Frodon is getting on a bit.
I hope she finishes safely and gets beaten on everything - you are quite right. She very rarely if ever has my money because she is just too risky. The only reason I watched the race was because I had backed her mount to win in the match bet. It became irrelevant as the other horse failed to start.
It was a ridiculous manoeuvre she made which without doubt cost her a chance of winning the race.

Having rewatched the race, she was a inept to keep it up the inside to try to make her challenge, I would argue the gap never closed on her, the camera angle just changed

Indeed, EDG tried up the inside of SA between 3 out and 2 out but SA went again, her mount slowed up, the gap did nay close I’m afraid
Racing Post said the winner won "eased" down and "readily". BF did well to finish second.
But we all have favourite and less favourite jockeys or trainers, so that is ok I guess.

The reason why she was so good in the first place is she would make risky (some might call it dangerous) stunts that possible broke all the unwritten rules.
That there at Plumpton (1515) is a good example of how she has lost her edge when toned it down. Lost her pitch walking up to start. Tried to rush it up hurdle 1 midfield. No good. (Not saying its her fault pulled up) but not ideal.

What the winner did is irrelevant. It is her tactic to go for a non-existent gap that is the issue. The winner;s brilliance, as it may be, had nothing to with that.
