Aiden always thought a lot of this fella, followed him over a cliff until he ran in a G1 at the Curragh , I'm sure many on here will agree with me on this, the first time I never backed him and was screaming in my head as he neared the line don't ****g win today you bastard.

Given the money they paid for him out of Ballydoyle, some people presumed that he must be off to Australia for next year's Melbourne Cup.

Was it 350,000 gns?

Thought they stated he was going hurdling when the got him.

A one-time Epsom Derby fav running in a maiden at Punchestown on Monday. I hope he can redeem his reputation somewhat hopefully winning doing handstand on monday. But, do not hold your breath though.

He'll be pretty lonely there surely all his mates will be at leopardstown

Just noticed that he's still in the Magnier ownership, just not with the partners any more.

Well done 'workrider'. Your hinch pays dividend. He jumped a bit high on several, but opposition are poor; not jumping the prerequiste hurdles helped too, I reckon.

great to see it win cost me a lot on the flat and then got pipped at 20/1 with ryan on that he should have won so nice to get a bit back after backing him at least 7 times on the flat, high class hurdler lol and look forward to fulfilling the potential and getting more back

Nice price too on here at 9.94 BFSP.

Let's hope he wins again esp when some hurdles are missing.

I think a longer trip or The Cesarewitch is more appropriate. He ballooned a few over 2m.

High Definition's been officially rated 119 recently and I was wondering who else has gone hurdling with a comparable rating.

I don't know how high Moonax was rated but he was on the decline (2 yrs after winning the Leger) when he went hurdling.

Nor do I know Alderbrook's flat rating when winning his first hurdle...shortly after a group 2 victory on Arc weekend.

I'm sure there are others who've hit 110 on the flat but the memory's not what it used to be...so I'll need reminding.

doesn't need a longer trip, they make the 2 miles a longer trip the way they're riding it.  looked like he was going for home well over half a mile out, need to stay really well to beat it over 2m cos it won't be stopping.

time was 7 seconds faster than the next race and faster than the bumper.

I don't think Kribensis was too far off that

Royal Gait & Vintage Crop would've had a tasty rating.

I remember Ruby saying races that have any missing obstacles at the end become more of a stamina test due to jockeys going for home earlier.

Again...I wouldn't know the official rating of Kribensis but I'd be surprised if he
got near 110 on the flat...possibly 100 but IO can't recall him ever being anything
much better than a top handicapper - not sure if he won a listed race.

So we'd have to go back to Royal Gait to find something comparable to High Definition
and that was over 30 years ago!

Heard today he was the highest rated to ever go over hurdles in Ireland.
He will need a trip to be at his best.

I wouldn't be too dogmatic about his trip...it's very difficult to say after watching that earlier.
Remember how well Royal Gait stayed? Well enough for 20f on the flat at group one level yet 16f
over timber didn't stop him from being Champion Hurdler.

Think we'd have to see him run again before any definite opinions   particularly if he decides that once over hurdles is enough.

I wouldnt be putting my house on him but he kept on finding.They was plenty of talk about the Mullins horse in that race .

What I don;t understand is why we haven't yet seen Serpentine over the timber.
Several on here were certain that his Derby win boded well for a County Hurdle or suchlike at a future Chelters!

Hard to get involved till we know what race (if any) High Definition will run in. As ELG says with tongue in cheek, the Ballymore would not be a complete surprise, given the longer trip and possibly better ground, and was won by his sire's namesake.

Went off a very decent proce in the end.

Lovely to see him get his head in front.

Jumping needs some work.

Admirable performance given only previous wins were right handed and that stable confidence was limited .

I like to see novices look naturally comfortable jumping.  He is bound to improve in that sphere but will he ever reach the top?

20s for the Ballymore

If he does want to go right then Punchestown might be a better bet.
