I genuinely thought he was doing it at the end of last season. That was the talk anyhow. Its no secret Jack Kennedy was gonna be on most of the good ones so perhaps that swayed his mind after a rethink during the off season. Best of luck to him.

One of the best. Nevertheless, injuries and age have caught up with him. A wise decision to retire now and not after 2023 Cheltenham.

I was a massive fan of the guy since i seen him take the short cut around the Cross Country Course at Cheltenham and Win God knows how many Years ago.....Made our Jockeys look like a bunch of third rate w@nkers....Thanks for the memories Davy enjoy your retirement.

Davy has been a shadow of his former self since returning from injury. In his prime I would rate Davy second to only AP.McCoy such was his excellence.

He was indeed a great jockey, somebody you'd want on top when the money was down, think a few horses may be glad he's retired though, wasn't he a bit over indulgent with the whip at times, (i may be thinking of someone else, so apologies if mistaken),
