Betfairs customer service has been deteriorating for many years now. The customer experience is now little short of diabolical. Considering the business model is a licence to print money, you'd think they'd at least ensure everything runs efficiently. It's become a sad joke.

That's exactly why the service is the worst in the business, they've a virtual monopoly. As you say the service has been laughable for years now and hasn't effected their business, so what's the incentive to improve it?
The ONLY thing that could would be a genuine competitor to the model and no one seems arsed to step up and take it to them. There's a definite niche in the exchange market for anyone rich or ambitious enough to put the time and effort into it.

I don't think I've ever come off a Betfair live chat session with a blood pressure of less than 200 over 90. My guess is they use the 15-25 minute response time to lick their computer screen.

I couldn't disagree with you SS, the average standard of customer service in the Bookmaking industry is diabolical. For Betfair to be at the bottom of that pile should be truly embarrassing for anyone at the company that gave a fcuk. They don't and they won't until it effects profits.
