Reading between the lines it appears had they abandoned yesterday and kept the covers on they could have raced today. Perhaps it would have been worth sacrificing yesterday's card for today?

Live next to Wincanton with the forecast,this has got no chance on Tuesday,the ground is frozen solid would take a week of normal temperatures to be ok,why wait,should call that meeting off tomorrow.
