I suspect Lady Hussey has travelled to many countries in Africa and was simply asking where this womans roots lay as as she may have experience of that nation. Looking at the woman I don't think it is unreasonable to think she was celebrating her Afro/Caribbean background. Her charity supports women abused from an Afro/Caribbean background who live in this country. The question 'where are you from' considering her dress and the charity she represents I don't think is unreasonable. Sadly when a direct answer wasn't forthcoming she should have moved onto another subject. She didn't and that was a mistake.
