Is that the tote acey
I can't play direct into the pools, Tote+ have put me on the naughty step.I
what for slippy....they are not a traditional bookmaker
Despite my account being in decent order, no unusual betting patterns or random deposits etc. they demanded bank statements for the last few months and I said no, I'm really not the person you should be hassling over affordability checks and they said well no more deposits allowed and I closed my account.
Even the bod doing it said it wasn't something he could be objective about and listen to reasoned dialogue so then it was game over. It was all a bit ridiculous really but I was never going to comply.

Not betting related but i opened an account online retailer this week, brand new email never been used before, within half an hour the amount of **** in the junk folder is amazing, they must just sell your details to anyone, scary stuff really. People in call centres working from home on the other side of the world, in really poor countries, crazy.
Total of 45 runners @ Aintree before any n/rs, not for me, will leave it to Berksy and the other
Tote shareholders.
Send us a Bank Statement !! Yes Right.
What a bunch of khoonts.

...however agendarised (should be a word) your arguments are, it would be hard to blame the Placepot on small field sizes, surely?
Had 700 Left to Deposit , Not been on the Site for a Few weeks , Deposit left 300 WTF is going on there ?
A lousy 22k in The Breeders Cup Pool Chelmsford had nearly double that ffs.
how are the placepots going acey...i did donny yesterday for 27 quid for 1p stakes...i never watch the racing when i do a bet but wait for the last race and when i saw £28 quid i thought ive lost most of my money but to my surprise i come out just ahead
Placepots going terrible cardi a proper mugs bet but i am addicted.
FYI the £100K is at Wolver today

...TBH I just get abused so leaving the numbers in case of interest, no worries if not.
100k
that's 100k made up by the t0te buying their own tickets, hence reducing the returns of genuine winning tickets
do not play is my advice

Then a meeting gets called off halfway through and you lose out on your later combinations because it pais around 13/8 while they scoop up all the exccess and their own money.
just a rippoff now only worth playing at big meetings like cheltenham etc
Waste of time now though really

For those that think the Tote are seeding the pools for the benefit of the punter read on ..

One claim – in a document seen by the Guardian - suggests the Tote could have made at least £3m from proprietary trading since PGS made its debut, and that as much as 40% of many day-to-day Placepot pools is actually comprised of the Tote’s own money.
PGS (SEEDING).
PGS (SEEDING).
TBF @Greg_Gory there were 45,000 winning units! Keep screaming GLASGOW...I remember when Betfair first started and the traditional bookmakers were HOWLING & it only served to help Betfair get more and more established.
FYI £250K Placepots at Cheltenham on Fri, Sat & Sun.

so to confirm...the t0te will be topping up the pools with their OWN tickets thus creating more winning tickets & reducing the dividend that normal players receive
do not play is my advice

Whilst paying 73p per £1 line unlike the rest who pay full whack.
Berksy if i raffled off my million pound house selling by raffle tickets and you bought some,
how would you feel when I say I have won it myself !!! with no evidence of when or how many tickets
i bought. ??
PS, not Screaming here, just posting alternative views to your own.

The Tote has its uses at times but its kind of ironic that the 'guaranteed' big pools are likely to have a degree of insider trading that in fact makes them a bad play.
... Exactly, if the intention of " Seeding " the pools is solely to create bigger pools / interest
then surely the Bigger pools such as Cheltenham or Ascot etc will remain untampered with ??
But how will anyone know ??? PR disaster imo.

How would they go about seeding the pools ?
Buy every permutation ? or
Buy under bet permutations just before the off ?
or a combination of the two ? i.e. Buy every combination early on to build pools , then move towards the under bet perms as off time approaches ?

What other racing countries are the totes allowed to seed the pools?
£250K Placepots today & tomorrow at Cheltenham
Will the Tote be playing their own pools Today BERKSY ??? If so where do we find info on the amount of tickets bought, and at what times were they placed. ??? Many thanks.
