Wow, just watched this thx George. I thought I had cornered the market in bad luck at inopportune moments, but nothing that bad. Now understand why his TV performances are so dour, that must have left a scar.

i think nevison is ok, easy on the year unlike many of the idiot broadcastrs involved in racing. normally talks decent sense and seems to be a real punter unlike many of the others so called tipsters

Anyone approached him at the racecourse he would just say Favourite! Must have thought they would follow like sheep…
He said it to me at York. Favourite!…..the reply was….don’t flatter yourself…ff’s…
I was only walking past and glanced at him…

If he is so bad why dont you just lay his selections ? Common sense surely ? You should be happy with him , if he is as poor as these comments make out , you stand to make a fortune .

GEORGE.B 21 Sep 22 14:13 I think it might have gone t!ts up the day Topless cost him a small fortune on the super 7.
i know the geezer who chopped it off when topless went potless. he was just about the first on the track and laid the 1.01 and backed the winner at 1000. biggest stiffy he ever had.

i havent. it was on the webiste but ive just looked and its not any more. odd. maybe hes gone under and they are saving his blushes but it most certainly did show a profit, unless rtv are fibbing.
i was quoting them and doubt theyd make it up.

Always a bit of irony, when he is asked to discuss his website tips, he needs them to put them up on the screen otherwise he can't remember what they are. Such is the level of work that must have gone into identifying them.

And laughs at times….there is no tipster worth following apart from Hugh Taylor if his stats are true on the Atr site…Jim Mgrath is hopeless when he comes on Sky….

Dave should have listened to Eddie when he said don't get too greedy as the devil says it gets them every time.
There is a saying 'mind how to treat people on the way up as you are sure to meet them again on the way down.

I read Nevison's books as they came out. I thought they were interesting, the first one more than the second. They suffered slightly from trying to make him into a bit of a jack the lad character. Ultimately he's good at maths and so's his partner who handles the multiples. I realised that when he said he couldn't be beaten at spreadbetting on horses - I had a go and thought f u ck this bollox. He dissed form study in the books as 'old hat' but I bet against some of his selections and did so on a form basis and won. I mean, the handicapper is there for a reason: to stop horses winning. Punters should take more notice of that.
Ultimately he says in the books that gambling any significant amount of money is an emotional test that he is quite good at weathering and most people are not.

I think most people would be hurting fod life after that race.
I remember having £50 each way on the horse involved and it still does my head in.

i was going to knock these "updates" on the head but DAVE had a decent month so be a bit unfair not showing march, SIR HUGH was having a bit of shocker but pulled a rabbit out the hat with 40-1 advised winner PROBE (16-1 sp) on the 25, he must have been a tad embarrassed claiming that with paddy power/betfair sportsbook, even young patrick power himself would have struggled to get that 40s.
