They all have the same rules. If they have 20,0000 Punters, 19,999 losing and 1 winning.
The winning one is restricted to pennies, everyone must lose end of. we should have the Australian Rules, NO DISCRIMINATION. |
By:
Are there no multi-millionaires out there who want to launch a legal challenge against this crap on grounds of discrimination?

A tenner each way after five losing bets leads to a "careful review by our senior team".... What a joke of a so called bookmaker.
By:
Unibet is just one brand in the group - but all the brands in that particular group are just masquerading as "bookmakers" as a means of promoting a gateway into their casino/slots/bingo etc. If you don't follow the gateway and don't become become a degenerate slot/casino addict, they don't want your "business".

i cant fathom how they make any profit if they wont take any money. are there really zillions of slotheads out there? i dont know any. i fluked a handy ppot with billys and even that counted against me. crackers.

I was doing a grand to them, had 50 tenners ew something which started about 16s finished unplaced, end of business, don't know whether to laugh or cry when I see the likes of Henderson displaying their wares.

restricted 2,952 people before they decided you weren't losing quickly enough.
how many does that leave them ?? |
By:
Bookies are just there for problem gamblers, losing gamblers, and casino players. No one else is welcome. And they share across platforms which is why often you can't bet at certain bookies straight off the bat.
By:
These are not Bookmakers anymore, they are all just a business with eveything on record.
If you show a profit and bet carefully i.e. picking off bonuses etc they will restrict your account. They come out with all this crap that they want you to bet sensibly but they love the addicted gamblers that lose fortunes especially on these Casino games etc! Skybet, Betway and BetVictor these are 3 that will bar you if you are not losing a fortune to them. Have you noticed how they throw bonuses at losing Accounts but bar you from Promotions if you win? Nothing but gangsters my friends! |
By:
Even 'sly' and 'ladcrookes' took away the daily 'spin for free' promotion. As such, I stopped betting antepost with both. Just yesterday 'billie' restricted me to just £2 for a max £10 "Reds vs Everton" promotion; odds 2/5 to 'evens'. I declined, and immediately withdrew £10 deposited a few moments earlier.

Unibet sponsors the trainer of Constitution Hill and Aktior. I think the recent debacles concerning Altior spoke volume eg the horse's welfare and running plan of Altior on their platform prior to the BHA spoke volume; cash is king.
By:
The trainer has been fn around for the last few seasons ever since the sponsorship with Unobet, coincidence?
By:
I can't see how bookmakers were ever allowed to sponsor trainers.
By:
A lesser developed and less richer country like Australia forbids any financial association between jockeys/trainers and bookies yet here not only these two entities are bedded together they also collude to stitch up the punters for their own benefit.
I think Mr Blair was the architect of "British" perestroika eg oligarchs with dodgy money (Abramovich) and others were allowed to buy football clubs like Chelsea and Arsenal, stately homes and other very expensive real estates in Knightsbridge and Chelsea. Now, those from the Middle East eg the state sponsor of the murder of Mr Khashoggi in their country's consulate are allowed to go scot-free with no sanction instigated or political retribution eg no withdrawal of ambassador. Instead their wealth and money are very welcome in this country. |

This is the kind of thing I tend to flag on here.
Just to the original poster have they actually restricted you, or just removed BOG, bet boost? I lost those a few months ago. Much worse were the likes of Sportsbook and Sky who have restricted me to pennies such that there is absolutely no point betting with them. |
By:
Interesting thread. I'm a 10 e/w punter.
PP took my promotions away a long time ago and Sky restricted me to £2.50 on boosts / promotions etc. To be fair to them, 365 haven't reined me in even though long-term profit is about £2k and I like their ITV offer. It's interesting that their chief exec was in the news for her huge profits & bonuses - maybe they do well because they take a risk and let people have a proper bet, like a real bookmaker? I'd be interested to hear if others have been barred / restricted with them. The RP have been ranting and moaning for ages about Gambling Commission / Parliamentary scrutiny on (problem) gambling, but as others have said, it's basically a racket now and online is a gateway into slots. But the paper would fold in days without their sponsorship and it's frankly unbelievable that a trainer is allowed to be financed by a betting company. If that's not a conflict of interest, then I don't know what is. |

An excellent post, soul of wit.
By:
I used to bet 10 e/w with 365 almost a decade ago, I got restricted after a few weeks. Asked them to lift the restriction 5 years later and they declined.
By:
The stupid thing is that if you win on horses, suddenly you can't bet more than €10 on a UEFA football match, makes sense.
By:
Differentdrum...yes, BOG and boosts withdrawn and extra places I believe...makes you want to bet elsewhere unless a standout rick in the market. Not sure about maximum takeout limit. If, say, I want £5 e/w on a 66/1 shot with Sky, a message comes up to the effect that I can only win £250 on the win side, so reduced stake shown.
I'm the same, soul of wit, with B365. I don't do regular withdrawals and have had some good pick-ups without them panicking and they regularly give me £5 in free bets. I know some have different experiences with them. Hills have been quite good and no trading decisions from them. |
By:
the 4/1 tv offer is the only concession that I have lost with Bet 365. You can only go on personal experience, and for me they are in a different league to the other bookmakers. Hopefully, that situation continues. It is quite ludicrous that bookmakers are running scared of £10 EW punters. If they cannot accept bets at that level they should be closed down. They should not be able to advertise concessions that are not available to every punter. Clearly that sort of advertising is misleading. If you walk into a shop, and something is an offer, you don't expect that offer to be limited. The whole administration has turned into a bad joke. It is a disgrace that those in the media don't call these people out.

If the sharp practises of the scumbag bookies are replicated on the Stock Exchange the entities would have been sanctioned ages ago eg a mega fine plus a reprimand threatening expulsion on a repetition.
The Racing Post is sh1t, and not fit for purpose; they do not represent punters or trainers but scumbag bookies - their paymaster; they turned a blind-eye to the destructive nature of fobts on the vulnerable and weak. Similarly, closure and restriction of recreational accounts. Even now they are batting for the scumbag bookies on their unreasonable and bias usage of Affordability Check (AC) eg everyone subject to the same draconian scrutinisation instead on those clearly with an issue eg addiction or betting and/or losing huge amounts continuously with no defined mean of income or source of funds. I support AC but the scumbag bookies need to be made to account for its application; just a bit of common sense applied for a fairer outcome for most; a more stringent one for those with a history or penchant for betting beyond their means and/or losing an unsustainable enormous amount in a short period of time. I'd also like the Racing Post to be defunct on its present form ie funded by scumbag bookies, and a trade paper for horseracing established for the benefit of punters, trainers and owners - not bookies. |

what is the general average bet that people are wagering?
Paddy Power did sports revenue of 3,773.8 million in 2021 stats. BET365 did revenue of 2,788.56 million in 2021 stats They are not doing this by restricting users to tenners. |
By:
Anyone who's not restricted to tenners is a mug. They have no reason to let someone win thousands from them almost every month.
By:
I should have kept my mouth shut. Email from 365 this morning - all promotions removed including 4/1 offer, football offers, everything basically. First attempted bet at 10 e/w on 11/1 horse refused - max stake allowed 63p.

hmmm .....
365 haven't reined me in even though long-term profit is about £2k and I like their ITV offer so you post something on here and PP know who you are. then a few days later one of PP's bookie friends decides you're no longer entitled to their ITV offer. the same ITV offer you said you liked. ONE FOR THE INFORMATION COMISSIONAIRE ???? FFS ![]() ![]() ![]() And people on here trust Paddy ?? |
