Horse was doing 36mph in the back straight and then went to 38mph in the home straight. If Hornby had tried to take the winner on and failed, he would have been roasted by the forum. I for one was sure the winner would run out of gas at that pace.

built the lead around the long 1st bend doing 34-35mph clearly got the lengths cheaply if you think winner has won 14l running inefficiently time for a new hobby

marquand also the only 1 to race on the best ground up the straight hornby clearly not been watching the 1st 2 days
