Photo is correct according to how the camera is position,but camera looks misaligned if u look at the mown strip and the gap in the far railing

That was two good photos you put up steve and as you say the photo cant lie. That said, if you look at the winning post and the post across from it it appears like a two feet gap?



Maybe an optical illusion but you can see quite obviously why a good few punters got it wrong.

The arms of the jockey on the winner are in a different position in the two photos. And it's not compression as the orange sleeves are stretched out.

No sign of the winning jockey's perpendicular whip in the LH picture either.

Looks as though I picked the right day to go and do a bit of hoovering at the cricket in Taunton.

newcastle is another tricky one..camera comes from a box 10yds above the ground on the inside of the track..the angle isnt as it looks on the slo mo.

Wasn't there a similar thing at Redcar a year or two back, but it only lasted for one or two meetings?

I backed 2nd and like most in the slow-mo was convinced the dip was right! Agree groundsman had it right off or it's run by Delboy
