If I put a pound on her at 40/1 do I win 40 quid? What would I get if she's placed?

jinxy will never be guilty of praising a jockey if he lives to be 100.
His whole life is dedicated to slating them day after day. |

Mr woke Sparrow ! Fact Saffie is and always has been lucky to get the rides she does ! She has less ability than most !
Ok so she`s learning , but very lucky to be getting the chance ! You understand very little about ability ! ! Desperate for praise and friends Saddo ! |

ps , Sparrow , too scared to comment on the MULRENNAN thread !
Lets here the defence , surprised not to see you there ![]() |
|
By:
Mulrennan is well known for that sort of thing or have you just discovered that? The point is I don't have to jump on every thread about a jockey as you do. Forgotten more about this game than you will ever know boy.

Hartdly top class and 2 rides out the back today. Very average

Orders.
|
|
By:
1. 95% of races are won by the best horse on the day regardless of jockey.
2. the other 5% are won because of rider tactics and ability. That does not mean strength. 3. Most jockeys are riding to orders which may not necessarily be what they would do given a free hand. The real skill that makes a difference is timing and balance in a finish. Murphy and Buick are among the best at timing their finish to win by a neck without having to give the horse a hard ride. Saffie has it to in my opinion. If you are referring to Luna Celeste, I had put in in the tipping comp but was doing something else and only monitored the odds in running. When it went out to double figures I assumed it was well beaten but then in a few seconds it was odds on again and then declared the winner. I still have not watched the race. |

What Sageform said.
So many folk with throwaway lines about jockeys being "poor", "average" etc, when imo, the number of very good jockeys today compared to yesteryear is huge. And , of course we have access to every single race ride today......legend sometimes comes with lack of everyday footage. |

5.42 Sandown today, Dandyman Dan
She's on this one today for David Evans, trainer has a good recent strike rate The horse is 1 from 1...won fto at Bath...might not have beaten much, but? Drawn 1 today I've backed it ew at 20s...bit of money about for it, into 16s Gl if you're playing |

She's exactly the same as almost every other jockey - good when told to be, not so good when told not to be....
