I`m sure this has probably been discussed but what has happened to being able to switch to the classic site and why have they made the layout worse, especially when opening the bets tab, it keeps being hidden !

They seem to have gone backwards with a lot of things since Desmond doodah took it back. Aligned to the reintroduction of commission on previously c/free markets theres not
a lot of point bothering with them now IMO.

I still use the Classic site. The new site was so bad (I've not used it recently) I thought I might pack them in and wrote them an email and got a unsympathetic response, I can't remember all the issues I reported but I disliked that all your bets for a particular race were grouped together for whatever market you were looking at. Thus all place bets you had on would show when displaying the win market. Disasters await!

I put up with their awful web interfaces while they gave some great commission offers - without the commission benefits, not bothered with them anymore, and sticking here until something changes again.

They won`t let me use the classic site anymore, can`t log in unless I switch to the new site !

Their app isn't much better, keeps sticking and won't accept bets in running, very frustrating, especially when you can't lay out of a bet.

Its a great shame that there is no proper competition in the exchanges with only betfair being of any real use. Unfortunately it seems the majority of people prefer bookmaker betting.

daq arny any good to avoid pc but need to offer a tick above bf price or no way jose.

yep sparrow - majority of punters want to bet (back) selections at rubbish prices with bookies. Always seemed odd to me too.

The forum people will just tell you stu that they want a bet 10 hours or more before the race or are looking to make a yankee or lucky 31 or whatever multiple.

Possibly part of the issue sparrow. But pretty sure there are also plenty lumping on their backed selections when they could be getting far better on here.

Undoubtedly stu,  but most of them are still living in the 80s and 90s and will never adapt to changing circumstances.

They don't rotate horse race positions on their main  betting market on their classic site .It covers them from breaking financial law.Wink

Long scripts ie golf with knocked out player or player with no chance towards the top of the market. Duplicate bet slips appearing after you have already placed the bet. Bet history often not in chronological order. Shocking
liquidity on certain markets. Balances not updating. Sometimes logging out after 180 minutes 'for security purposes' and others happy to leave you logged in overnight for 12 hours ! Couple of other probs I cant remember right now. As
Stu says could sometimes put up with it 'cos of the commission offers but now they have gone its hard to make a case for them.

Now offering 25% cashback on net losses Goodwood and Galway up to 1k cashback. NEW CUSTOMERS ONLY. So to fully benefit you would need to be a new customer losing 4K
in a week. I wonder how that sits with responsible gambling and affordability checks ?

That is crying out for laying outsiders on Purple and backing them on here surely?  Lose 4k on Purple, win 3.9k minus commission on here, say net £200 down, collect £1k from Purple, net winnings £800?

what happens if a couple win?
By:

then you win on Purple, lose on here, make a small loss (say £200 again), no free money from Purple.

so overall you're (say) risking losing £200 to win £800.  As long as you're doing that so as you're less than 20% likely to lose, that should be value?

Miss New York Ayr 1.00

Asked for a place  bet at 5.0 on daq when it was 4.8 and left it open.

Came 3rd, bet unmatched. Place sp 5.4 on here.

Disappointing to say the least.

At this rate smarkets could end up challenging them for the 2nd place exchange markets.

have to offer bigger on daq than it is on botknottfair...its an arbing scenario only.

Rico is right. If Betfair is down , there is little doing on purple as the poor bots have nowhere to go!

i use to have a few quid in purple . i took most of it out around last year when i asked why they have 2 step authentication on the website but not on gruss ( or the other way around ) . what's the point in that ?

their  customer service didn't seem to think it was an issue Crazy

always keep some in **** in case inevitable crash on here leaving exposure.
i can't place sp bets now though on daq. weird. i was placing bets at s.p. after receiving a 15% cashback loss offer on the hosses.
wonder if that was the reason I got gubbed.

don't often agree with stephen, but you'll get precisely hee-haw over there unless you take less or give more than what's showing here

prices all linked via bots ...
