Rod didn't want to sing it at the Jubilee. Perhaps, like the rest of us gubbed by Billys. Their adverts are hollow and meaningless. '' Chill out, take a break.'' ... Like forever...

No wonder he did not want to sing it .... It was appalling.

His voice Pitch being far to high for that Pub Song.

They could have got anybody out of the crowd to lead the song/singing of that.

Also - Was it some girl called Celeste (?)- who absolutely Murdered - 'Wonderful World'

Never thought I would say it - But - Diana Ross - along with her multitude of backing singers, plus Full Orchestra - just about saved the Show.

It was more a comment on Billy's. They've snitched the song that the great unwashed have adopted. Paid the '' Greatest Jockey''  to endorse them. Wouldn't have wanted him to  ride a novice chaser for me, but credit where it's due. Personality wise, he's more in the bargain basement of racing pundits, more Peter Scudamore than Johnny Murtagh. Oh it's just sour grapes. Hate a bookie that won't take a bet!

I have the ideal Royal Ascot line-up for Channel 4 Racing. Ed Chamberlain, Francesca Cumani, Adele Mulrennan, Mick Winters... It'll work, trust me :-) Can you imagine? LOL

Agree with hallgreen.  They have slaughtered the song in all these appalling adverts and I also hate to hear it now.

When asked if he'd ever murdered a song so badly before Rod said "I don't want to talk about it".

Bit rude.
