What is it about the name BORIS that automatically condemns bearers lumbered with that cursed name as being utterly untrustworthy? Could the unfortunatly-named German, simply because of his name, be paying for the sins of a much darker, but similarly blond-coiffeured bandit, possibly even a teflon-coated politician who risibly attempts to take credit for being the "Saviour of Ukraine" rather than the desperate dishonest windbag that he really is?

I've always liked him, a colourful interesting chap. Seems like he has behaved stupidly for a number of years though. The situation with the Villa Son Coll in Majorca taken over and ransacked by German squatters is utterly ridiculous.

Joke sentence handed out by the UK justice system. Keep allowing the nonces and real criminals to go free and jail someone for financial crime that will cost the taxpayer far more over the 2 years. Hope the judge feels happy with her celebrity status for the day

Has he been taken down? Or has he been given time to prepare himself for what's awaiting him? I think deliberately and knowingly flouting or ignoring the law for private gain deserves a custodial sentence. No one is above the law.

I think you are 100% wrong. Financial crime is and should only ever be a civil matter. Any compensation/confiscation orders made by the courts never result in funds going back to any allergies victims. They just line the pockets of the CPS and judges. That female judge will enjoy her 5 mins of fame.. if ever a case was to be made for wenches not wielding power…

Ffs.. it’s money.. get over it!! Financial crime is not what prisons were built for. Just a joke/woke system we live in these days. Work out how much of your tax payer money goes on housing persons behind bars that don’t need to be there! You are clueless!!

Prison is the biggest waste of time in the modern world. Naive criminals meet master criminals, they commit far more crime after custody, costing the taxpayers far more! 37% of first time offenders re offend within 12 months of being released. Boris jailed for a small amount of money on the same day an ex police officer spared jail for indecent images of children… only in the UK!!!

meanwhile in Luton, a 16 year old got a 12 month youth rehabilitation order for the "manslaughter" of a 63 year old man who he stabbed 4 times in the head and leg.
A teenager who posted a video on Snapchat of the heavily bleeding 63-year-old man he had fatally stabbed walked free from court today (Monday).
The Luton youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is to be placed under intensive supervision, having already served the equivalent of a 2 year sentence in custody. The 16-year-old uploaded six or seven seconds of footage from his mobile phone showing fatally-wounded Bolton-businessman Ghulam Raja.
Prosecutor Sarah Morris told Luton Crown Court that Mr Raja was stabbed four times with a large kitchen knife, once to the front right thigh, once to the neck and twice to the head. One thrust entered his brain and caused a catastrophic fatal injury.
“This defendant did not call for an ambulance. He unlocked his mobile phone, went into the Snapchat App and recorded a seven or eight seconds video clip and uploaded it to Snapchat,” she said.
He recorded 63-year-old Mr Raja, who had travelled to Luton to visit his mother, bleeding heavily on a bed that had been set up in the living room.
After three minutes the boy dialled 999 saying: “There has been a murder.”
He said the victim had been stabbed and he was the offender. When asked by the operator what weapon had been used, he is said to have replied sarcastically: “A knife innit, what do you think? I done it. It was self-defence though.”
The youth, who is now 17 and was 16 at the time, denied murdering Mr Raja in the afternoon of Monday 15th November last year. He was cleared of murdering Mr Raja, but was convicted by the jury on 21 November this year of manslaughter. He was brought back to court for sentence today (Monday). At an earlier trial, a jury was unable to reach a verdict.
Ms Morris told the jury of 6 men and 6 women: “He went to the kitchen, armed himself with a kitchen knife. The victim was unarmed.”
She said Mr Raja’s only interest in coming to Luton was to visit his elderly mother who he had not seen for many, many months. He had been in Pakistan and was delayed there by the coronavirus pandemic.
When the police arrived, they drew Tasers and told the youth to come outside and to get to the ground. He complied and was arrested for attempted murder.
Ms Morris said when the youth was medically examined at the police station, there was only a small mark on his right arm.
When interviewed, he answered “no comment” to police questions.
