What did the Waley Cohens pay for it out of interest ?
Why keep Mullins as trainer ?
Report blackbarn • April 9, 2022 9:20 PM BST
Perhaps they thought he could train it to win a National. Just a thoughtLaugh

Custer - The sales profile of the horse in the RP does show the EWM December 75k sale, so perhaps it was an editorial error.

The sales profile also shows the horse being unsold at 290k gns (YES 290,000 GNS!!!!) at the 4th Feb 21 Tatts sale. It shows the vendors rep as E Mullins. Was it then a private sale to Byrne? perhaps acting on behalf of the Waley-Cohens??

Noble **** was a private sale from Edinburgh Woollen Mills to Paul Byrne
Don't think he ran for EWM

Custer - I didnt say he ran for EWM

Oops . pressed send too early. Meant to add that having been bought by EWM, the horse was then apparently offered for sale by them at a ridiculous(???) price, with EM apparently being the selling agent. This was then followed by a private sale to Mr Byrne, a close associate of Mr Mullins.

Another piece of the slightly strange profile, pulled up at the end of January after 8 fences (detached), declared by the vet as clinically abnormal. Then running in England only six days later.

The thot plickens, well it doesnt really!!  The horse was sold for £75k on 13/12/19 to Edinburgh Woollen Mills. By 30/12/19 it had been sold to Mr Byrne for, according to the RP, 75K.

we hear these ' clever' stories all the time ...fact is , story no 1 has it . 39 other stories don't make it .

of course but he was only 7, and risked travelling a sick horse overseas to qualify for a race he was a long shot for, when he could have easily skipped this year. who knows what goes on behind the scenes, and I'm not a vet but that seems an incredibly short recovery time from being unable to raise a gallop, to putting in a career best effort after travelling abroad.
Report cloone river • April 9, 2022 11:42 PM BST
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Noble ****, trained by Emmet Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be clinically abnormal. Samples were taken for analysis

B. Hayes, rider of Noble **** trained by Emmet Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled and was pulled up thereafter.
