Turners Novices' Chase (Grade 1) 4 runners?

The opposite imo. The 2 best novice chasers actually racing against each other for a change.

Agree BTT and no uk runner, shame NIcholls didnt enter Bravemansgame in this.

How often do matches turn out that way? Constitution Hill/Dysart Dynamo, Shishkin/Energumene turned out to be non events so will this be any different?

The beginning of the end for the NH game. All novice chases now have very few runners so as the established chasers retire nothing to replace them.

Incredibly disappointing turnout really for a 100k race. How can there be no British racehorse capable of competing for this? Bob Olinger does not looked a natural chaser atm, however Galopin Des Champs is a flamboyant front runner. In a four runner field I wonder if GDC will put to much into the jumping and BO might be able to sit behind even if fiddling a few and do GDC for pace at the end of the race.

It's been the pattern here all season with novice chases. You very rarely see a British novice chase with more than 3 runners in it ...

Very possible. Never thought I'd think that, but how much longer, if so. 10 years?

Backed Bob but awful to see the other one fall. Very sad indeed but great to see him OK. Galopin will be the Gold Cup horse next year.

As I said half an hour ago, how often do so called match races turn out to be a close finish? Hardly ever over jumps. Well done Joseph O'B for pocketing second prize showing the English trainers how stupid they are.
