My answer to this is 2 words-the 2nd word being offski! Would you take ANY stranger into your house? You can't keep them prisoner so you have to give them a key. They will bring their friends in. What happens if they're ill? What happens if they need to travel? what happens if something in your house goes missing. Are you prepared to leave them in your house while you go on holiday. Will your insurance cover you for theft or if your house burns down due to a cigarette left going by a stranger? Utility prices going through the roof so these visitors will be adding markedly to your bill. They won't have money so you'll be feeding them. What if they're ill & you have to get a doctor? Have you tried recently? What if you've been careful to avoid Covid & they bring it into the house? What if a female makes allegations against you? I wouldn't house a stranger for £35 grand a month let alone £350. Your whole life, the life you've worked so hard to achieve, will be changed forever. The war is not the UK public's fault so the UK effing government can eff right off & sort it out for themselves. And to all you liberal do gooders-good luck because you're not living in the real world & don't realise what you're letting yourselves in for. The British regime under Johnson have clearly been emboldened by what they and their behaviour manipulators got away with during two years of the "covid" hysteria.

From locking you down in your homes, to preventing you from sitting on a park bench, to stopping you from being with loved ones during their final hours.

They and their psy-op influencers in the media are telling us now we should welcome strangers from a foreign country "with open arms" into homes.

Slicer the £350  is for "ACCOMDATION" only ....A £350 a month “thank you” will be paid by the Government to those who have taken in Ukrainian refugees.

The money is designed to help cover the costs of housing refugees, such as increased food and energy bills, as well as an incentive for people to take part.

The money is linked to each address being used in the sponsorship scheme, rather than the number of individuals taken in.

"Just accommodation. There is nothing stopping sponsors offering meals should they wish to.
You will not be expected to cover the costs of food and living expenses (although you may wish to offer this yourself)."

So how are these refugees going to cover food & other living expenses? They won't be able to, so it's going to cost the kind hearted host as I stated in  my original post. I'm all for inviting women and children of Ukrainian descent but the men must be processed just like any other immigrant into the country with no exception (but time) for criminality and possible previous imprisonment.

Hospitality and kindness must not be seen as weakness and be abused even by war-torned Ukrainians.
Report Slicer March 14, 2022 8:47 PM GMT
Yes, definitely. BUT, & it's a big but-this war has NOTHING TO DO WITH THE BRITISH PUBLIC. There is a big financial squeeze that we're all going to suffer from. Most people are ill informed of the implications on their own lives.  You will change their lives, but one's own life will be changed certainly financially for the worst. If you read my original post on the matter you'll read the problems I foresee which will change the hosts live beyond recognition. It hasn't been thought through. Have a good evening.

100% with you on this Slicer. Its wonderful to be able to help these children with cancer and that should be applauded, but our faltering, negligent, money swallowing NHS world service is riddled with issues including theft, corruption and fraud. People just dont seem to realise it, but just getting correctly diagnosed and treated for serious illness these days has become increasingly difficult, our NHS is way behind other European nations health services in many areas.

Watching this once great nation go down the pan so quickly has been a devastating experience for most right headed people. There is no future in the UK, we have all been sold out and sacrificed on the altar of political correctness and mass immigration. Women and children including babies being murdered, abducted, sexually assaulted on a daily basis, suicides through the roof, exponentially in the case of women and girls. Murders, stabbings and shootings on a daily basis, huge welfare and housing benefit costs, a crippled economy, a failing NHS, lowest pensions in the developed Europe, and the old values/morals/unity that made us the greatest nation in the world are becoming virtually extinct. Chin up mate, I also agree about the music, films, and communities back in the day too, it was a different, much more pleasant, unified, safe place and time to live. Best Regards to you old fella.
