If you're going to take the trouble to plan a race time at 1.29 then you want to be making sure it starts at 1.29. If they're still ambling down to the start at 1.32, then there really is no point in doing it in the first place.

Absolutely right and the fact that Leopardstown was only six minutes later than Musselburgh anyway means the timings are still f. hopeless, There was time for a replay and an interview after the Leopardstown race so why wasn't it scheduled further apart from Musselburgh? I can feel another letter to the Racing Post coming on though nothing ever changes.
