Rancid I thought. Was given such a head start. Was able to get a good breather into the horse with half a mile to go. Couldn't lose at that point.

I lost on that one - didn't realize it was a handicap start Sad

I once backed nearly all I had on Knoddy's Ride, hoping he'd jump from the front in a novice event back in the eighties: it was sheer delight and my sweet old heart is spraying tears!

Yes,starter shouldn't have let them off, good ride but poor from Mullins to let him off with it.

Hmmm only in Ireland. Shame for punters of other horses. Starter? .....  ?.....!   !     !

Didn't think it was that bad horse came up out of a loose rein as the flag fell and off they went, the rest should be held to account for not chasing him down......

No Cutter,it is local slang for someone who has a bit of a 'want' in him/does things wrongly

I love the phrase, and well done for introducing me to something new. I shall certainly remember it, and I may even write a book on the title one day.

Noddy's Ryde? I backed my heaven and my hell on that horse at odds on. I have never done the same again. I did win, but the pressure in my brain convinced me odds on was a never to be act again!

Think the winner wanted it a lot more than the second who was hanging in behind. Will the same tactics work at Cheltenham?

The others were never at the races. Shocking round of jumping from Commander Of Fleet. How did that manage to win last time?

This is why 'dutching' is the only fellow to leave the Exchange with valuable money in their pocket!

There was a stewards into it and no action, Townend was 'off' before the flag fell and Danny Mullins was expecting them to be called back, very shabby.

Different the winner doesn't have to make the running, indeed the owners were surprised when Townend said he was making it. No doubt if the second hadve got an equal start to the winner then Townend wouldn't have forced the issue and sat in second.
