THE PLAY LADBROKES 1-2-FREE ON FOOTBALL HANDICAP HURDLE RACE (CLASS 2) (GBB RACE) An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race following two incidents of interference from after jumping the final hurdle involving the winner, DOLPHIN SQUARE (IRE), ridden by Mr David Maxwell, and FLEMCARA (IRE), placed second, ridden by Tom Bellamy. In the first incident approaching the elbow, Bellamy was cautioned for careless riding as he had allowed FLEMCARA (IRE) to drift left-handed, causing DOLPHIN SQUARE (IRE) to be shifted off its intended line. In the second incident on the run to the line, Maxwell was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he had allowed DOLPHIN SQUARE (IRE) to edge right-handed without sufficient correction, causing FLEMCARA (IRE) to receive a bump. The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved the placing of DOLPHIN SQUARE (IRE) as that gelding had come from behind FLEMCARA (IRE) and always appeared to be travelling the better, with the distance between the two runners a neck at the line. |

absolute madness...flemcara drifts mebbe 2 foot left..dolphin goes a yd right in last 20yds..how they supposed to have time to correct them? ludicrous.

ruby.roy & geoff hopeless. Yep Rico was a bit gutting ruined the 100% record for the day thought it was more 1/3 than 1/5 laid some @ 1/5 and less but managed to back it back @ 1/4 to reduce liability once id seen such an expert as you think it would keep it. |
