Which is more deaths among the vaccinated in four weeks over August than the whole first 6 months of this year! Yet the ONS has added those first 6 months to get the result they wanted.

George, I've been thinking the same thing. If I could sign a waiver that would give me ALL pre-2020 freedoms back if I waived my right to medical care, I would do it in a second. I'm not sure they were ever used (there is some doubt as to how effective they would have been) yet they had to be carried by everyone everywhere and you got arrested if you didn't? The danger was unseen and unproven yet pretty much everyone did as they were told for the duration. I won't even bother asking about blackouts as you def wouldn't have bothered to shut the curtains.

This business of stopping football matches because of a 'medical emergency' is surely not being thought of as a possible problem with the vaccine is it?

My god. to start with, today someone only need break a fingernail in public and panic sets in but aside from my contempt for the drama-fuelled society we now live in, let's look at the business of medical emergencies at a football match shall we?

To begin with, in the Dagenham v Salford TV cup tie a few weeks back, the medical emergency was someone with a cut head having stumbled over bringing a cup of tea back to where he was standing. He pleaded to be left alone but the stewards and medical staff carted him away on a stretcher, no doubt loving the chance to invoke their 'procedures'. And as for the TV commentator that night, I thought he was going to cry at one point.

Now, tonight a reported heart attack victim at one of the games. OK, that's bad but when I was at West Ham v Wolves in 1974 a guy keeled over with what appeared to be a heart attack just a short distance away from where my dad and I were stood. Space was made for the medics (St John's Ambulance) and he was taken away on a stretcher down the touchline but the game did not stop.

Moving on to the late 1980's, one autumn meeting a poor guy suffered at heart attack at Ascot right by the rails bookies. Nobody, including me, could get by for about five minutes until a pathway was cleared. The poor chap was a big fella and the look of how blue he had gone in the face was truly awful. The medics worked on him as his mates stood there, some of them in tears, because he had clearly died.

BUT betting for the next race went on and so did the race itself. Disrespectful yes, but the point is that we are now hearing about all these spectator medical emergencies although they are almost certainly no more common then they ever have been.

To link it with the vaccine is a bit over the top and on a site where there are so many supposed sharp minds who should be good at figures, the lack of awareness - or just plain ignoring - of how few issues we have had given close to 50 million - 50 MILLION - people have been jabbed completely amazes me!

Lastly, as for the WW2 comparisons. Yes, a bit daft, but I tell you for sure that if today's anxt-ridden society ever went through what the public went through in WW2 it would collapse in on itself inside a week. We have become a nation of drama queens and for those of us brought up in the 60's and 70's it is all a bit stomach churning.
