but i always thought that the judge announced the winner . may be it's just at perth , or the judge fecked up

Perhaps because the judge now has to go to the stewards to get a second check on very close results since some errors in recent times, that means the judge is no longer in his box with his microphone, so the announcer does it instead.

my initial thought was they just jumped the gun, bf suspended and the photo carried on, just another fck up in a large book of shoite

Someone must have declared no.6 the outright because the likes of 3 65 site had it as outright winner for ages.

Cheers pab. It doesn't help that RTV talk over all the announcements. I wish they'd just shut up and let us hear things for ourselves.

announcer should get a serious warning if he called it on his own viewing.

I dont think it was announced the winner over the PA. What they mean is that the result was sent wrong by the PA (press association)
