Mother Earth is one of the main protagonists, and 3/1 fav. Others are his conqueror and shock French 1000G victor Coeursamba; Novemba and Primo Bacio both about a length behind in the Coronation Stakes and Falmouth respectively.

Mother Earth is 1 win from 6 Gp1 over 8f; 3/1 against these lot is generous, I believe.

Tough race.. the 3yo fillies all seem to beat each other... Sagamiyra will be up there I hope..

Looking forward to seeing Daneh again in the Six Perfections, against the promising Zellie..   great racing from Deauvile ahead..

Mother Earth won the 1000GNS on Good to Firm.  But was beaten by COEURSAMBA on Very Soft.  The going tomorrow could be on the soft side of good, which suggests that COEURSAMBA could finish in front of Mother Earth again, but there isn't much between them.  Also Mother Earth has had three goes altogether since the Guineas win and has just been placing.  (She could now be ready for a rest) There are several fillies in the race with good form in Group 2, 3 and listed races and any of those could step up to win, but I marginally prefer COEURSAMBA back down to a mile.

I backed Tahlie eachway 9/1 (4places here).

She’s on a roll and I think she’s been properly aimed at this race. I mean like the Sandringham was the 1st target and after she won they were like - okay what’s next…we’ll this of course. Expect her to be cherry ripe tomorrow.

Sexy turn of foot last time and beating off Kennella and See The Rose gives her a shot at matching Mother Earth and Couersamba here.

Needs another step forward but that’s not all that impossible…especially ‘if’ she improved during her 58 day beak.

Her two regular jockeys are not available (Soumy claimed for the Aga and Pierre Charles currently well…not sure when he’s back) so they got Peslier…no bad thing at all.

Also together…her owner, trainer and jockey have won this race on 11 separate occasions.

Yoshida - 4 wins Shaanxi (1996), Lady of Chad (2000), Marbye (2004), Elusive Kate (2012)
Bary - 2 wins Field of Hope (1999) and Divine Proportions (2005)
Peslier - 6 wins Shaanxi (1996), Goldikova (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011), Amazing Maria (2015)

25 years since the original Yoshida / Peslier win.

Don’t usually post this side of things but thought it was interesting.

Anyways…back to sleep…

usually a lot of trouble in these french races and i like to avoid the top of the market ,like the look of tahilie around 10/1 each way ,won last 4 and improving could be a bit better than her rating and an each way price ,cant get away form the rag padovana has come out of handicap company and won a listed race last time improving and a massive price at 66/1 4 each way 4 places paddys will also have an each way pop on her at b365 each way 7 places 20/1 .

unlucky there, Adelaide
Everything went wrong for Daneh in a race where the winner could set a steady pace.

.. yeah, slow start didn't help.. Ryan rode them to sleep didn't he..?  if they meet again, I'd still take Daneh..

Mother Earth has not captured the imagination as most of her runs are not flashy but has the form to win this if Mr Moore has her in the right place early, Ed Walker's horse looked unlucky at Newmarket but ground and Atzeni temper enthusiasm for her, all the older horses look to have a lot on their plates to figure

Mr Moore made the home jockeys look very poor there .

Thank-you. It was my 1st Gp1 win of the new season. A clear passage to victory; 3.23 with 'billies' not bad either. Long may it continue.
