Short and sweet here FOYLES .Adayar will be carrying my money as it's there for all to see the form but it is a 3yo. A 3yo that will take care of this lot imho. GL.

Actually, your horse could easily be in the mix FOYLES hence a place lay of Love.
By:
good luck stewy yeah adayar was my first thought but looking through all the form and reruns just think mishriff is the value ,but i am out of form the last 3 or 4 weeks so you may well be right .

Not my FAV race FOYLES and I wouldn't change my mind if I was you.

By:
no wont change my mind stewy ,we all know what happens when ya change yer mind ,the betting gods step in and punish you !

Severely !!

Adayar receiving 8lbs from Love and 11lbs from Muishriff. A really useful age allowance at this stage of the season.
For that reason alone Adayar must have a terrific chance. GLA |

I don't think Love will run if ground is not favourable, but adayar must be the bet
By:
The obvious bet was Wonderful Tonight. If the rain comes she has every chance, if it doesn't she doesn't run and you get your money back.
By:
I hear they are opening a new pub on Jim Baxter Way ( formerly Wembley Way ).
To be called "The Three Penalties". Very bitter beer to be given away on opening day. |
By:
As suggested the mover has been Wonderful Tonight as a bet to nothing. Unfortunately, at the moment it is looking more like nothing, but you can't be certain with thunderstorms.

Love for me. They won’t run her if ground isnt right. I can’t see by her, she’s amazing. There’s no way the derby winner has her class….
Famous last words |

Waiting on the going weather before deciding on if to pull the trigger on Mishriff.
But he can throw in a stinker…which is my worry lol No hiding place tomorrow…he’s got to travel and roll up to them like Harbinger and then stomp on them. |
By:
Also this race could be a total non event if Ryan gets the opportunity to take a walk in front on Love…re Highland Reel
The expectation is the other jockeys won’t let him do that but can we really trust them? Hmm Oisen and Egan are smart kids so maybe but then again… |
By:
Got to be with the classy 3-y-0 at this time of the year. I agree with stewarty.
By:
Does anyone know if it's likely to have an A v B in the race tomorrow?
By:
I would imagine so stewarty but they don't put them up until a couple of hours before.
For me it's all about which Adayer turns up and that's impossible to forecast. We know that 5 time Gp 1 winning Love handles track and going so were the match between these two I'd favour her as we have no idea how Adayer will handle the ground. Alenquer form would seem to favour Adayer over Lone Eagle but again on different going. So, I'll watch only I think and it looks worth watching if all six stay in. |
By:
I think Mishriff is here on a fact-finding mission (whether he stays 12f or not) as another renewal against St Mark's Basilica in the Juddmonte will probably end in a similar result as The Eclipse. I'm no fan of Adayar; An AOB 1-2 perhaps.

adayer for me.

Any torrential rain during the night or present moment? Much appreciated.
By:
I dont think it has rained yet, scheduled now for around 8AM but not expected to be that heavy until 11AM.
By:
light rain now, with showers this morning and possible thunderstorms this afternoon.
By:
whaw its only the 2nd time in 10 years the derby winner has gone for this

By:
well if its promising thunderstorms and perhaps torrential rain in the afternoon why not move the race too much earlier
By:
Frightnin' tunder 'n' lightnin' put back to 6pm. Trying to remember off the top of my head the derby winners that have contested this since the start of the 21st century. Workforce, Kris Kin, Antony Van Dyk and one more I think. Golden Horn would have but scratched after heavy raindrops.

By:
oh durrrrbrain, I've got it now. Anyone want to fill in the gap?
By:
i like a few at decent prices in this type of race and have also backed broome each way ,could lead and gets the trip well although has a few pounds to find on the ratings but is consistent could lead and should run his race

galileo magnifico

2mm of rain so far, decision on wonderful tonight running at 2-30pm.
By:
Going G/F and only minimal rain forecast to race time. I can't see Wonderful Tonight running. Adayar 3/1 is big.
By:
yeah not much rain forecast for today
By:
backed broome each way ,could lead
yeah i see Broome setting a steady pace with Love not far behind - she's a guineas winner so have to think she will outpace the others at the end of the race |

Adaya bidding to become the first since Galileo in 2001 to complete Derby/King George double and it would be very poignant given Galileo's recent demise.
Alternatively, it's ten years since Amy Winehouse passed away and she enjoyed a bit of Love ![]() |
By:
It has to be the 3 yr old improver Lone Eagle for me.
By:
I think the Derby is best form on offer. 3/1 Adayar getting all that weight is very generous.
Only concern is Broome going a slow/steady pace which wouldn’t play into Adayar’s strengths. |
By:
It's the form triangle of Adayar/Hurricane Lane/Lone Eagle that is tripping me up. We know HL lost front shoes in the Derby but don't really know if that cost him those lengths. For Lone Eagle to then run so impressively in the Irish derby with HL subsequent thrashing of his rivals in France makes it very difficult to judge. Love should improve again back up to 12f although the jury is still out on her and she is short. The others I don't give a chance but respect the form they are bringing into the race. It's a top lineup, really looking forward to it and if someone gave me £20 I'd stick it on Lone Eagle. Frankie will go ahead of Lester Piggott if he wins, both legends of the sport. Much respect.
