yah JD it hit the max - no idea how much. But I honestly dont know how the celing layers can comeback from them ones - far too many of them in past 6/12 months.
Report Jumping-cuckoo-monk July 1, 2021 7:08 PM BST

Report Awtips. July 1, 2021 7:08 PM BST

Report ballyregan July 1, 2021 7:09 PM BST
once a week jumping seems to be a lot in ireland recently especially with placed horses
Report Wesdag July 1, 2021 7:10 PM BST
Would've been big 1.01 & 1000 cos it was well clear.
Report Jumping-cuckoo-monk July 1, 2021 7:11 PM BST
might be a strategy to start backing runners up at 1000 from now on!

Races called official before weighing in aren't they?

Jocks usually not even dismounted.

Report elise July 1, 2021 7:18 PM BST
mamillius was 21 matched at max, 9k at 1.01 the fptp
Report sparrow July 1, 2021 7:23 PM BST
I can't ever recall so many objections by the Clerk of the Scales as these past few years.
Report HappyHibby July 1, 2021 7:23 PM BST
peanuts.
Report ----you-have-to-laugh--- July 1, 2021 7:37 PM BST
New improved scales or a bit of a do?
Report elise July 1, 2021 7:40 PM BST
there's been a mix, some were due to weighing room layout changes with covid, if they followed the wrong route they missed the scales, a couple were inexperienced riders, a couple have been lost in the race and one at least was never saddled with the weight
Report ballyregan July 1, 2021 7:41 PM BST
have they announced how much weight was missing?
Report greenteethnarrabacktroutmoy July 1, 2021 7:42 PM BST
Mamillius    875.41    1.94    Lay
01-Jul-21 18:41
1.94

appears i was fortunate..this sport is ran by total amateurs, jockeys shouldnt be weighing in light, its not the dark ages, more stringent checks should be in place, just embarrassing all round.
Report elise July 1, 2021 7:43 PM BST
might be one of the few races today i've not been laying the max, i was having dinner
Report HappyHibby July 1, 2021 7:44 PM BST
so now you're all happy coz you only got £1.94 matched Mr.Hunt...?

makes a change...

normally you are crying like a bairn about it.
Report greenteethnarrabacktroutmoy July 1, 2021 7:46 PM BST
was peeling onions at the time.
Report skm1197 July 1, 2021 8:04 PM BST
Will bookies settle as a loser or FPTP ?
Report ballyregan July 1, 2021 8:07 PM BST
sadly for you skm a loser when weights involved
Report duffy July 1, 2021 8:07 PM BST

scales before entry into starting stalls and at every furlong pole through the race?
Report HappyHibby July 1, 2021 8:10 PM BST
that's a good suggestion duffy...

i like it.
Report Jumping-cuckoo-monk July 1, 2021 8:12 PM BST
They should put the weight round the fan king jokey's neck
Report skm1197 July 1, 2021 8:17 PM BST
ExcitedSad
Report elise July 1, 2021 9:17 PM BST
re the weight someone was asking, they've said  2lb
Report elise July 1, 2021 9:19 PM BST
dropped a chamois after weigh out & before saddling, so not weight but equipment
Report ballyregan July 1, 2021 9:21 PM BST
ok thanks
Report elise July 1, 2021 9:22 PM BST
still weight as far as scales are concerned obv, just not lead/weightcloth is what i mean
Report Rico-Dangleflaps July 1, 2021 9:59 PM BST
more farcical comedy gold from the sport of horse racing.
Report Rico-Dangleflaps July 1, 2021 10:06 PM BST
ive got a 2ft sq chamois to dry the car..only way it weighs 2lb is if saturated.
Report Jumping-cuckoo-monk July 1, 2021 10:12 PM BST
It's the frequency with which these weight issues are starting to occur that is alarming.
A sort of laying paralysis is happening in my case. How can anyone be confident at what they are seeing?
Report penzance July 1, 2021 10:13 PM BST
always thought when you weighed in you were
allowed 2LB ?.Must've been more than 2LB,if I'm
right,that is.
Report elise July 1, 2021 10:18 PM BST
i think it's 1lb lighter or 2lb heavier but there's also a ruling that you have to weigh in with the exact equipment you weigh out with, so they'd have him eitehr way
Report Rico-Dangleflaps July 1, 2021 10:19 PM BST
Should a rider weigh in more than one pound under the weight at which he weighed out, the Clerk of the Scales will lodge an objection with the Stewards, who will automatically hold an enquiry. The horse involved will be disqualified and the rider penalised.
Report Rico-Dangleflaps July 1, 2021 10:19 PM BST
how come 9/10 times its the winner?
Report elise July 1, 2021 10:20 PM BST
sos law innit, those chamois are pretty big though, it's maybe 3 or 4 feet across
Report elise July 1, 2021 10:20 PM BST
sods
Report penzance July 1, 2021 10:27 PM BST
got that wrong, thoughtit was upped to 2LB for some reason.
cheers fellas.
Report elise July 1, 2021 10:29 PM BST

running with less weight

Report greenteethnarrabacktroutmoy July 2, 2021 2:19 PM BST
2lb wont make a horse thats gona be 3rd/4th/5th/6th/7th into the winner imo.
Report jamesdean July 2, 2021 2:22 PM BST
It's not always only 2lb less when they weigh in light
Report wondersobright July 2, 2021 2:23 PM BST
2.5lb per length over 6f...POM would have still won easily with 10st
Report jamesdean July 2, 2021 2:26 PM BST
aye, not saying winner wdnt have won yesterday, just that it makes sense a lot will win that are running with less weight
