I know the usual will surface and pollute a serious subject but I really do not get the BHA and other organisations that keep bleating about the lack of black or ethnic minorities becoming jockeys and bending over (literally) to persuade us it is unfair?
Do you guys conclude with the powers that be that racing needs black or ethnic minorities to promote the sport? Or do you agree that each to their own and minorities are not under represented simply because of they are either not good enough,their ethnicity dictates they are not built for being a jockey,their religion maybe a blocker?
Just asking following watching Denmark and Finland,both with black players,since when were black people indiginous to Northern Europe?
Should questions be asked as to why Black people excell at sprinting,basketball and soccer and yet are crap at swimming?
Surely a case of each to their own.........e.g Irish people are brilliant jockeys et
I know not how the people in the UK feel outside of my own contacts/family..........but the feedback is that the majority will not watch the BBC because of bias and most sickened that ITV are following with almost every advert showing a black actor just because it is the way forward?

Horse racing is a rural sport, but the countryside is almost entirely white. That explains why non-whites are under represented. I think the push for minority involvement is 90% virtue signaling.

Personally i believe racing is too white.
They should start with the royal meet. Instead of the wokingham handicap they should rename it the WOKE handicap. You know. Any horse trained by an ex public school boy should incur a 10lb penalty Any white male jockey gets an extra 5lb Any horse ridden by frankie dettori should get a 20lb penalty because he wins too much. Also, any jockey who takes the knee while the queens carriage rides up the home straight could claim 5lb. That little lot ought to show the wider world that racing means business. |

If you take English football as a example surely the amount of Black players far outweighs what the stats are telling us about the number of Coloured people in the U.K...Even allowing for those from outside the E.U..Plus an huge amount of mixed race players are now visible . In America the biggest amount of jockeys are Mexican and South American with very few Blacks , I have no objection to ANYONE been included in sport but it must be on merit otherwise the sport suffers ..
