Last time I was in Albufeira it was very hot as well. It was when Portugal won the Euros but we were on a family holiday and the waiters stopped working during the Portugal semi final! I first went to Faro in 1970 when there were more tractors and donkey carets in Faro than cars which has changed somewhat. We prefer to go early March these days when there is plenty of cheap rooms and less traffic. The stretch from Faro to the Spanish border is the best part.

Hire yourself a car - Drive around to the next bay (Westwards) to GALE Beach.

Lovely7 and clean - Nice Cafe - Not overcrowded - and you can then as far as you want along the water's edge in the lovely warm clean Atlantic.

Idyllic ... and good for your feet too

Sambucca and lemonade, the lemonade was more expensive than the Sambucca, so switched to neat Sambucca...
