Watching it live the 3rd absolutely looked the winner so right decision. A shame the rules can't allow for 1st and 3rd to simply be swapped as that would be right result. The "winner" deserved to finish 3rd so that element is a bit of a farce.

did interference from 3rd to 4th stop 4th been 2nd

i didnt have a bet in the race . but speed up stewards enqs and make them fairer by leaving the jockeys out of it . skelton on a baby he says as he wipes out a 5 y o . say the jockey on that 5 yo rides  out at  ditcheat . what would he say ? maybe the jockey on the 2nd is mates with the trainer of ...etc , etc .. if the stewards can't make their own call then replace them with those that can .the evidence is the camera footage  .  the input of jockeys in the race is not helpful one bit .

The Stewards considered that the interference had improved ENRILO (FR)’s placing as KITTY’S LIGHT, who had made up significant ground having jumped the last to get within a diminishing ½ length of ENRILO (FR) at the time of the incident, had taken a significant bump and was taken off its intended line for several strides, losing all forward momentum. Taking into account where the interference occurred in relation to the finish line, it was felt that KITTY’S LIGHT would have finished ahead of ENRILO (FR) but for the interference and therefore the placings were revised as follows: First, POTTERMAN, Second, KITTY’S LIGHT, Third, ENRILO (FR), Fourth, EL PRESENTE. Skelton was suspended for 4 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift left-handed without timely correction causing interference to KITTY’S LIGHT."

yes pp..still lost on race as laid winner on run in.

I am of the opinion that if as the stewards suggest Kitty's would have beaten Enrilo, then it would have also finished in front of Potterman. Kitty's should therefore have been placed first. Why should one destined to be no better than third be awarded the race? Common sense should replace such crazy rules.
