Today's card must be one of the worst I can remember at the course. Four 5-runner handicaps in a 7-race card. It is just as well that crowds are not allowed, as who who want to pay to go ? Still, what do you expect from a course that still has this on its website info for a meeting on Derby day:

If you think its bad to day check out Saturday. 5 flat meeting tomorrow and already a scarcity of runners
Too much flat racing - Ripon can't rustle up a double figure card yet there is still a meeting 30 miles down the road.
