I like following the big stables when in form.  Had some success.

Meydan and America - completely 'out of bounds', for me though.... others love America - But may well not be able to handle 7 furlong handicaps in the UK, the same - as each are  an entirely DIFFERENT mindset and approach.

Terrible for punters having triers at the front unlike over here where there are numerous clowns who are happy to ride favourites out the back for another day which may well never come.

the bent irish that won 22 or 23 out of 28 races at cheltenham this year,had 10 out of the first 11 home in the national and generally mop up the english classics,usually 3 or 4 out of the first 5 home?!?!  be silly to watch them..no wonder you lot voted for brexit. ?

So watching 2k handicaps at Ripon is better than watching Group racing from Ireland, give me a break. Any serious punter wanting to find winners at the big festivals should watch Irish racing because most of the winners come from Ireland.

I like watching it for the comedy value. Hilarious watching 150-1 shots leading all the way over 3m 5f and quickening up after the last. That beast will NEVER win another race.

I find the overound way too big on irish racing. But I think that is because bookies are scared stiff of a hot one in each race. The formbook is there for what that's worth. Just leave it well alone.

Another angle I follow, admittedly defeatist is to never bet on a race unless every horse is from UK yard. Maybe brexit bias again, but a damp sight easier!

Personally I prefer Irish racing, But that's the jumps I may add.

I checked a database since january 2020 and backing all irish horses in the UK would have cost you 1972 points at -4.64% roi with 5% commission.

only 10/990 won at odds above 50. Curiously, 4 of those were from this month - O'Rahilly at 88 Itsaboutime at 59 Scorpo at 50 Ahoy Senor at 120.

Yeah but people act like the irish horses are unbeatable even though they're nothing special outside of festivals.
