no more than 8 in at any 1 time ,

may aswell wait extra 5 weeks

Anyone like lingering in these places?

The virtual nonsense is enough to help me make the trip as quick as possible and try to avoid it altogether.

All they will take are lucky 15s and speculative accrs. Turnover down, profit up.

The BIG REOPENING , the salesman  pushing 49s and the Irish lotto .

Hopefully it will stop people coming to me to put bets on on-line .I put over £70 on the National for people alone .

15 mins per customer, if i try and get £50 win on trump 5/2 for world snooker, theyd be more than 15 mins trying to get through to ho for permission to lay it

But you can walk around a big supermarket for 6 hours or how long u want.

Have a coffee.
Have a gossip with people you know.
Touch and do what u want with the goods on sale.

Crazy times....

You need an extra mask to withstand the acrid stench of the other punters

try not to use any chewed up pens.
Use surgical gloves when writing bets out.

Wonder if they will be wiping down the machines after each person uses them ..........it would be the safe and caring thing to do .........but  there bookies ..... so remote !!!!!!!!!!!

In the last 5 years or so I've only ever used tham as they are handy places to pop in for a dump when out and about

Chuck a quid on the fav in the next dogs race, get yourself the key to the bogs and then enjoy laying a nice log.

Pop out afterwards and usually see the dog got beat, but a quid well spent.

wouldn't go near the bogs in a bookie with a hazmat suit on ...

was in a bookie couple years ago.  stag party came in, presumably just to use the bog.  couple of them went in, straight back out again, looked sick, all piled out the door.  was either the state they were in or rico was sitting in there talking garbage, i never checked.

Went into my local baldy shop this evening...
Staff said can't believe how quiet it had been all day...
I said to get used to it, shops on their way out, unfortunately
Put on a footy bet, nobody else in shop betting over the counter
Just 2 people on machine, max 15 minutes, yeah right

Comparisons with situation at other shops, supermarkets etc, as stated earlier are valid, imo
Spend all morning in the shops, spend all afternoon outside a pub...

Many moons ago I used to clean a bookies several nights a week after closing, including the bogs. They weren't as bad as you might think, although there was one bloke who ALWAYS insisted on using the ladies/disabled loo and for whatever reason always managed to piss all over the seat. Still, he's most probably dead now.

I spoke to a couple of betting shop staff this morning.They thought the restrictions would make many shops close.No live pictures are a big concern. The main worry was having to tell someone chasing on the machines that they have to leave the shop after 15 minutes.All shop staff have my sympathy.

@ least 25 % of current shops will go by the way side in next couple of years

been cherry picking their customers for years so sympathy with the staff but certainly not the management.

5 years ago there were 17 betting shops within a 3 mile radius of my gaff, I would expect 4 or maybe 5 will be opened again. The rest are just boarded up with zero chance of them being resurrected.

the online model means they can track every bet you do.  much easier to weed out the shrewdies & absolutely no need for a shop.

No live pics ? So you can't stand there with your phone hoping the feed is faster than on screen ?

So very soon even someone who they consider clued up won't be able to get more than 2 quid on. Desperate stuff. We need to save the shops.

my son manages a billys and behind the counter  he has a switch that turns the lights on and off in the bog , ,if a difficult (****)customer asks for the key to the toilet he waits for him to get in the khazi ,its pitch black in there with the light off ,then turns down the commentary to hear the khoont banging about trying to locate the light switch , often the khoonts come out with pish all over there trousers after being blacked out mid slash
