I backed 3 out of 7, there's nothing wrong with that. Try laying 3 horses in every 6-7 runner race and you'll be skint by friday.
Laying is backing all runners but one, and yet it makes money, must be magic.

Those that followed the squirrel drift out to 4.3 were lucky there. Safe lay at 2.8 ( with IR to come ) but following 'em out in weak races dangerous.

This one was iffy, my numbers showed back above evens, lay below 1.9, and he steamed to 1.79 before the off. So I backed at evens and laid off when he reached clown price. But it's a loss for this thread.

1.16 should be good enough, then within a week I'll have a horse hit 1.18 so I'll raise it again to 1.2.

So now I'm going to lay off horses at 1.2 and in two days I'll have a 10/1 shot hit 1.21 IR and I won't get matched again.
What are the odds of next 10 horses reaching exactly 1.16, me not getting matched at 1.16, and then proceeding to lose? It can only happen to me.
It's insane how many horses lose at odds on IR in jumps racing, often they don't even place. Just had another one Rootless Tree at 1.36.
I lay 1.06 on flat and 1.18 on jumps now. If I don't get matched one more time I'll raise it to 1.2.

b a , that's what sorts out the winners/losers. Which ones ? What you have seen and breeding. The wayward ones don't have to lose. Just run about head high /to the side. Maybe Keep the river is one of the better scorpions ( it's won twice ) but there aren't many.

Why did bookies open Leostar at 7.5? I always get tricked into laying these and yet backing the bottom price like a sheep is the better choice.
If a horse steams from 4+ into 2s they are all unlayable.
And the application of money ridden like it was stolen....
Late money is shrood money. A couple of minutes before off. How can you get 2/3 grand on before ? Horses that shorten throughout the day from big prices sometimes win but it's often a false snowball. Late money rules.
Late money is also bots following shrood money, and at some point the horse should be overbet right? I a horse is 5.0 before the off and steams to 2.7 in 3 minutes, would the shroodies still back it at 2.7?
It all depends on the horse ( and whether the opposition is deadwood ) not the actual price. Evens is great for a cert.
Maybe the shroodies back down to 3.5 and bots follow each other to 2.7
