Langer dan ahead of handicap.....all irish horses assessed on a scale about 14lbs out
|

Langer Dan would win any h'cap limited to British runners.
He'll probably be entered at Aintree, but he'll get stuffed again! |

Could have won with a better ride imo and no i didnt back it.

------------------- It was the first one all week that he gave a chance to... |

For a horse trying 3 miles plus for the first time it was a very forceful ride and too wide and free through the race and saw way too much daylight.
Just my opinion. |

Harry didnt ride it, Lorcan Williams did.

Langer Dan that is.

Thought Williams produced Langer perfectly to win the race but the winner just went away on the run in. Could be better at 2 miles, maybe he should have run in the County.

He took a pull a couple of times knowing how well he was going. He obviously didn't realise that the one in the lead was also thrown in and ended up giving him the first run on him. Decent ride with a couple of errors made.

I think understandable up in trip for Williams to be very patient on it. I thought he gave it a very good ride and wouldn't have got past whatever he had done. Skelton has been very good as a rule this season but had a bad week. Shan Blue and Third Time Lucki were appalling rides and Alnadam not the best.

totally agree Could be better at 2 miles, maybe he should have run in the County. it's possible but nothing in today's run to suggest as much imo...he's taken 10 lengths out of the rest of the field from the last, take the winner out and you'd say he'd stormed clear up the hill |
|
By:
if it had been soft like sandown maybe the county but you couldnt complain about todays run, thought he got a brilliant ride and it was very obvious the bonus was the plan which i think they shouldnt have in handicaps

Gutted, but don't think it would have won regardless (today). Was so far clear of the third it surely tells you it ran into one. |

I was on Langer thought he rode it very good but you just knew Mullins was going to win top trainer

------------ My bad,Williams's first time to ride it,Harry's had a few spins on it as well. |

After the race Nick Luck said "you have to feel for Dan Skelton..."
I'm not sure anyone that backed the horse in good faith at Market Rasen would be quite so sympathetic. |

winner has plenty in hand..take winner out langer wins easily..unlucky to come up against a good one today..nothing wrong with ride.

Hopefully Dan will bring some horses over for next years Dublin racing festival and not give Willie Mullins all the freebies he got this year.
