A Lay for me, despite the pedigree and JG's record at Newc. Frankel all well and ggod and the mother did throw Nazeef (G1 at 4, who won on debut in June at 3) but 3 other offspring - one unraced, and two close to useless both colts. Can understand favouritism but too short.  Good luck chaps

A friend has it on her Shadwell 10 to follow list. Brave girl to choose an unraced three year old.

Blackbarn as an aside but related to laying and joking apart. Was it yourself I had a discussion with regarding the new hens I had obtained?

Sorry if I have got this wrong but missing large parts of my memory, for past few years particularly.I had a spark of recognition that you are in the West Country and we conversed before?

Don't worry if I am wrong, just hoping I may not be?

A reason for asking is one of my Sussex Hybrids laid a huge egg today,a blueish white where normally she lays a very light brown?

Not me Glentoby - but I do know that Sussex hens, tickly the light ones. wun't be druv if that helps.

Sorry then BB,just a spark now and again but still struggling short term, apologies also if seemed to be too critical on subjects we may have discussed.Even my OH has said so even though she has no interest in racing, part of my recovery is she reads responses and tests my memory.

Thanks Rico - It was!.  If the last question is addressed to me, YES of course they do.  The market suggested this horse was fit and I was assuming that it was even when I posted my lay. The rest is in my original lay post.

no idea why you'd even consider laying a regally bred gosden horse running in a mickey mouse race at newc on a whim..

Rico - "no idea why you'd even consider laying a regally bred gosden horse running in a mickey mouse race at newc on a whim"

Rico. As you will know anyone who lays odds on shots gets several wrong!. This was one of those. I gave my reasons in the original post; I thought it was a false price and considered it a reasonable risk that Nazeef was a one off, and that the other three offspring could be more representative of the mare.
