And his World came crashing down , it wasn't a picture any horse lover enjoyed , in fact to some it was beyond distasteful . It invoked so much pain in some that they felt the need to write about their feelings. Here was ablaze with anger , the Man was called all sorts  you'd think he had killed the poor beast . A man sat on a Dead Horse and gave the victory Sign.
Animal lovers were shocked ,calling for him to be banned for life from holding a trainers licence , no inquiry allowed they said it was obvious what he was .  A Tramp,Pikey , etc . A Man sat on a Dead Horse and gave the victory Sign..
Pay he must went out the call , yet those very same people will enjoy a lunch today of Halal meat , were animals have their blood spilled while still in their full senses , screaming in agony as their lives slip slowly away , terrified and shaking as the knife enters their jugular vein , no nice injection to put them to sleep . A Man sat on a Dead Horse and gave the victory sign .
As someone who loves horses and has worked with them , I have seen several die and its never nice . Die they do sadly ,but it still hurts when a friend leaves your life under any circumstances .
Nobody is condoning that picture least of all me , anyone who has worked around horses know you do it for the love of them , its certainly not for the money .
A Man sat on a Dead Horse and gave the victory Sign...
Enjoy your lunch one and all...

Amazing how many drama queens are about on here , crying their hearts out but still buying and eating  meat from animals that have been given no dignity in death , but have been tortured and slowly allowed die in pitiful conditions, but, A Man sat on a Dead Horse and gave the victory Sign and their fury knows no bounds ..

The point of this thread is simply this, how many of the bleating hordes on here eat Halal meat and the pain it causes Animals including our beloved Horses...

Indeed. One can only milk it that much. Any more it will become more than an obsession - it will become an illness for some.

I despise those on the bookies gravy train eg horse racing presenters/journalists promoting gambling/the BHA for condoning the same bookies responsible for the proliferation of fobt machines in the high streets resulting in the mega increase in problem gambling and addictsamongst youngsters, mental health and distress on players and their families not forgetting the burden these have had on public entities eg nhs, police and legal bodies and society.

The horse was already dead, and nobody died. Try and put it in perspective.

Workrider,

you seem to be doing all the bleating this last few days. Give it a rest mate, at least for your own mental health and leave dead horses lie.

i agree the man has suffered enough , given his punishment is not yet even delivered yet and reality is he didnt kill the horse just made a dreadful error that conveyed a total lack of empathy to one of his horses

but in interest of balance there are many many more folk who are charged with animal care that have empathy and connection to thier animals

no point saying its ok because others do worse , many others do better also

and ive tried to see the pic from his side , i personally cant but he should be allowed to move on whatever that means for him

whether that involves horses is for owners to decide tbh and as you see a few have already

Like you hello, I think he is bearing a big cost personally for this picture. Unfortunately there has been a huge amount of coverage of it in the world outside of horse racing and unfair as it is, this needs to be dealt with. The picture will never go away and while he is involved in horse racing it will always be a target for the loony left brigade that seems to have so much power in our world. I'm afraid he needs to go and find something else to do for the good of the sport. I know it's a little unfair but this has become a big issue now. The quicker he goes, the better for everyone.

Yes it's really all the fault of the loony left that we have to deal with this mess rather than sweep it under the carpet. All for the good of the sport you know.

'The Loony Left' LOL!

Most people in and around horseracing lean toward the right wing of politics.

But never let a fact get in the way of  blind prejudice!

Probably a bigger public outcry.

But he hasnt so its irrelevant.

now wheres that switch!!!
When: 03 Mar 21 16:18
The point being the horse was dead..... jockeys sometimes get a fence wrong and the horse never gets up from the fall. Don’t see jockeys of horses that have died being told to quit.. get another job etc. In fact apart from the generic “ very sad for the owners loss and how much the horse meant to them” comments, they are back out there in the next race without a care in the world. It’s a very fickle world.....

GE has made a monumental error of judgement.. but some perspective needs to be shed on this situation.
By:

When: 03 Mar 21 16:36
'now...', indeed. Sometimes it was the jockey's fault or indecisiveness that had caused the fall.

some perspective needs to be shed on this situation.

the perspective is fine - this is a horseracing matter and only horseracing-related punishments will be issued

The long lasting cancel culture style punishment doesn’t fit the crime.

Might as well as drag him out in front of firing squad if you’re going to completely destroy his life.

And that’s just him...no ones talked about his family, kids at school, the stable staff who’ll be out of work or the creditors who will end up with nothing because he’s bankrupt.

Cancel culture is an evil blood sport.

Let's see how some on here think when jump racing is finally done.....and it aint far off, I'm 50 and I may see it out, if you're 30 you've got no chance, certainly not as we know it now.

It'll probably look something like they have in Australia, they've been there and done it.

What punishment?

Haven't even had an investigation nor a hearing yet?

More right wing bigoted conspiracy theories.

That’s not how cancel culture works loper.

He’s now a target for the activists and whatever the IHRB or BHB won’t matter to do him.

Also if I’m right wing then I’m probably like Pepe with my left foot....although I don’t have a left foot but you understand. Actually I do have a left foot...just not left footed...in case you thought I had one leg.

The Grand National and races over fences can disappear for all I care for the reason of safety. Year after year horses have been injured some fatally eg Don Cossack, No More Heroes, etc.
