So many yards are not firing on all cylinders and the odd winner does not change anything. Native River looked as good as ever recently but, apart from that, Tizzards are still in dire form. Others seem to have just had a quiet time (vaccinations?) and are back with a bang once the weather has improved a bit. Kim Bailey is the best example of that. The first thing I do with any race is put a line through the runners from out of form yards.

TheFerrett is correct. There is a problem in the yard, Henderson knows there’s a problem and he’s been very open about it with his owners.
He’s contacted a number of owners and advised that their horses won’t be running - at Cheltenham or anywhere - until he’s got to the bottom of it.

Cheltenham Festival week means more to Henderson than perhaps it should. His whole season is geared towards it. Not great timing for the yard to be misfiring with Cheltenham only 3 weeks away.
(Whether Henderson should prioritise Cheltenham in March to the extent that he does is another question. Top British trainers are very set in their ways which is why the likes of Mullins and Elliott should be applauded for being more open minded and innovative.)

I always thought he was pretty quiet feb-march til Cheltenham and as has been said, that is what he gears up for. Not as though they've been getting the best assistance in the saddle too imo.
