Yes it is Bob.
Hope you come back refreshed and retooled Pro-tipster Holding took a break and came back after a week... |

what happens is it wears you down so quite normal to have a break for a few weeks - months then you come back refreshed i find not doing every day the sh-t low grade stuff helps and haven't had racing channels since they put the price up years ago so find that not viewing means you are less obsessed to not want to miss every race and using betfair video occasionally is the way forward, you find life is far better imo

Betting has been great for me but I was thinking of reducing involvement early last year but I have to say that betting has just about kept me sane through the pandemic in giving me something to do. Now will only think about cutting back (time) when pandemic is finally over.
Good luck with your move Bob. |

That's the great thing about form study and race analysis, it fills your time doing something constructive, if you Jack it all in what will you do jigsaws, soduko, seen every TV program over and over again.

Walking is the key for me, keeps head clear, and I'm fortunate to live in a rural area, nature all around especially this time of the year, when daffodils etc starting to come to life. I find I'm then ready to get back into it.

Good luck.
I think the last three months have been atrocious. Horrible ground week after week with fitness being more important than form. With all the abandonments the sport is just existing on low grade rubbish. Even the weekends have been poor. For those who like the short ones it isn't that easy to avoid the ones that end up losing. Personally, I am just clinging on to the idea that a few ante-post Cheltenham bets might reverse things, but I wouldn't be at all confident. |

Only downside, is that bloody alarm clock waking me up at 3......I dread hearing that tune

Mike, if that's where you can make money then it's worth it for you I guess. I used to play a few Oz races year or two back in-running and made a few quid, then the video went 10 secs behind live and that was that. 3a.m. alarm call and a foreign form book is not for me.

Just to add my comments were based on that unusual idea of trying to pick winners before the races start.
